Upon your first login to the Fornax Science Console you will have:
1000 credits total for spending on cloud resources (compute, storage, and egress)
20 GB of storage in your Home Directory
Access to private S3 storage, mounted as ~/s3-storage under your Home Directory
Dashboards in the Fornax Science Console will help you keep track of what you have spent.
Additional storage: post in the "Support” section of the Fornax Community Forum if you find you need additional storage in your Home Directory. Keep in mind this extra storage is paid for with your cloud resource credits.

Typical usage costs, for reference:
Running the small instance for 100 hours: 8.70 credits
Running the large instance for 100 hours: 77 credits
Running the XL instance for 100 hours: 759 credits
Running the small instance 40 hours a week for a year: 181 credits
Using 100 GB of storage in your home directory for a year: 120 credits
Using 1 TB of Long-Term (S3) storage for one year: 276 credits
Egressing 20 GB of data: 1.80 credits
